The prefect of Vlora, Vangjel Tavo, goes to SPAK

The Prefect of Vlora, Vangjel Tavo, appeared this Tuesday at the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office. He entered the premises of the Special Prosecutor's Office around 09:30.

After leaving SPAK where he stayed for 1 hour, Tavo said that he was in custody for a report he made in 2021. 

After the arrest of the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, Tavo was commented by the Greek media as the name proposed by Prime Minister Edi Rama to take the leadership of Himara, but this news was later rejected.

Tavo was appointed head of the prefecture of Vlora in March of this year. Earlier, he held the mandate of deputy and the post of Minister of Health.
