The controlled facility is suspected of being used for illegal activities against foreign citizens.
SPAK and the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH) have landed today in a building in the "Myslym Shyri" area in Tirana, as part of a lightning operation against a call center suspected of international fraud. The action was carried out in cooperation with the State Police and in full coordination with international partners, which indicates the broad dimension of this investigation.
The controlled facility is suspected of being used for illegal activities against foreign citizens, through sophisticated remote financial fraud, a scheme that is now the focus of European authorities.
The director of the BKH, Jon Keta, was also present on the ground, which underlines the importance and sensitivity of this operation for the new Albanian justice structures.
So far, there has been no official announcement from SPAK on the results of the action, but sources close to the investigators indicate that arrests and seizures of electronic devices that may have been used for criminal activity are expected.
