Judge Flojera Davidhi decided yesterday to accept the request of the SPAK Special Prosecutor's Office, deciding to suspend the criminal prosecution for Lulzim Berisha and his former brother-in-law Plaurent Dervishaj.
The criminal prosecution was suspended for the case of the murder of Vajdin Lamaj and his friend, Artan Arsi, which happened in February 2015.
At the same time, the SPAK prosecutors have requested the cancellation of the "prison arrest" security measure taken in absentia against Berisha and Dervishaj.
But with the removal of the security measure, "arrest in prison" does not mean that Berisha and Dervishaj will escape the pursuit of the police.
This is because both characters are wanted and have been charged with the murder of their friend, Klodian Saliu, which happened on February 25, 2005 near Durrës.

"In the murder of businessman Vajdin Lamaj and his friend Artan Arsin, it is not proven that the two persons under investigation, Lulzim Berisha and his ex-brother-in-law, Plaurent Dervishaj, participated."
In this conclusion came the prosecutors of the case Altin Dumani and Alfred Shehu, who during 3 years after carrying out a series of investigative actions, could not prove the involvement of the two main figures of the crime in the double murder with tritol that happened in February 2005 in Tirana.
Based on this situation, a few days ago the SPAK special prosecutor's office decided to ask the court to dismiss the criminal prosecution for Dervishaj and Lulzim Berisha.
Now only Emiliano Shullazi and Viktor Ymeri are accused of murdering Lame, who have been charged and the court process continues.
According to the investigation file, the two people were suspected of participating in the murder of Vajdin Lamaj and Artan Arsi, after the testimony given by SPAK's associate, Luftar Reçi, who showed that the amount of tritol used in the murder of Vajdin Lamaj was assembled by Joshko Červenkovski in the presence of Indri Taullai, Lulzim Berisha, Plaurent Dervishaj and Luftar Rreçit.
According to Reç, the assembly of the bomb was done in the house of Lulzim Berisha's sister, where Indri Taullai handed it over to Emiljano Shullazi.
Reçi says he learned about Vajdin Lamaj's murder from the media and immediately after that he called Berisha, but he told her he was in Turkey. As he adds that Viktor Ymeri had managed to find an informant near Lamaj, finding out when the mine was to be detonated by Emiljano.
"...in 2013, in Peqin prison. Viktori told me that 'even when Vajdini was killed, I found the man who finished the job of Vajdini's murder from prison, that they don't know about it...' Reçi declared.
Viktor Bajraktari (Imeraj), Emiljano Shullazi, Indrit Taullai, Lulzim Berisha, Plarent Dervishaj, Indrit Rusi and Luftar Reçi are defendants in this court process.
While the criminal status of the Macedonian Joshko Červenkovski, who appeared a few days ago surrounded by police in the premises of the SPAK special court, is still unknown./oranews
