The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has launched investigative actions, including questioning several police officers who have held unauthorized meetings with the corruption detainee Roven Zeka.
SPAK has taken statements from at least two police chiefs in the capital, while a telephone device has also been seized. Meanwhile, a businessman has also been the subject of an investigation by prosecutor Elida Kaçkini.
SPAK is reported to have also seized security cameras, and questioned the responsible persons at the Security Block in "Mine Peza", to shed more light on the meetings with the detainee and their purpose.
Head of the Tirana Traffic Police Commissariat Roven Zeka, together with Sokol Novaku, head of accident investigation, and traffic police officer Edison Tabaku, were arrested a few days ago as part of a SPAK investigation, and are suspected of having received a 2 thousand euro bribe for manipulating evidence for a road accident caused by the wife of a businessman. The GJKKO has also issued security measures of imprisonment for the three suspects.
