The State Police has reacted to the surrender of the two sisters Berisha, Antonela and Mariela, who are accused of serious injury with intent, committed in cooperation and risk up to 10 years in prison.
According to the police, this afternoon around 19:00, the two citizens were handed over to the Tirana Local Police Directorate.
The police have executed the decision of the Prosecutor's Office, which has set the security measure "Prison arrest" for Mariela Berisha and the security measure "Compulsion to appear" for Antonela Berisha.

Today, 16.10.2024, around 19:00, these two citizens have surrendered to the Local Police Directorate of Tirana.
Following the actions, the execution of the criminal decision of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, which has set the measure of personal security "Arrest in prison", in absentia, against the UK citizen, and the security measure "Compulsion to appear at the Judicial Police" against citizen A. B", the police announced.
The Berisha sisters surrendered two months after the serious incident in Tirana, where they raped Klea Prengë with a glass bottle, causing serious damage to her face. The cause of the barbaric violence is thought to be Mariela's suspicion that Klea had a relationship with her husband for at least a year.
