The Carabinieri of the Operative Section of Perugia have arrested a 30-year-old Albanian, who had recently arrived in Italy.

He is charged with the criminal offense of possession of narcotics with the intent of trafficking.

During a territorial control service, the police observed suspicious behavior and decided to intervene to control it.

After a personal check and at home, the young man was found 20 doses of cocaine, 1790 euros in cash in banknotes of different denominations, a mobile phone suspected of being used for illegal activities, a precision scale and material for drug packaging.

After the arrest, the 30-year-old was sentenced to one year in prison and a thousand euro fine.
