A luxury vehicle worth 250 thousand euros has been seized in Tirana.
The 'Benz' vehicle is suspected of being stolen in Germany, while a 34-year-old man has been declared wanted in connection with the incident, who is suspected of having trafficked the vehicle to Albania, with the intention of selling it.
"As a result of the investigative and operational work, carried out in the context of the "Stolen Line" operation, with the objective of cracking down on cases of trafficking in Albania of vehicles stolen abroad, the specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Trafficking found another case in this field.
Following the actions in this case, 1 vehicle type "Mercedes-Benz AMG G63" was seized, worth approximately 250,000 euros, after verifications showed it was stolen in Germany.
"As a result of the investigation, citizen AL, 34 years old, was identified and declared wanted, who is suspected of having trafficked this vehicle to Albania with the intention of selling it.
Work is underway to capture the 34-year-old and fully document the case.
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
