"Run, mom is dead."
These were the first words of the little daughter of Klodiana Vefa, the 35-year-old Albanian who was killed with three pistol bullets on the street in Castelfiorentino, who told her brother that her mother was no longer alive.
The tragic event happened shortly before 20:00 on Thursday, a few meters from the house where she lived with her two children, aged 14 and 17, but no longer with her husband Alfred, also Albanian, with whom she was separating. There is still no trace of the latter and he is currently being sought by the carabinieri. He turns out to be the main suspect of the serious incident and is wanted by the police.
According to what the Italian media write, quoting Carabinieri sources, there had been disagreements between the couple from time to time, due to the husband's jealousy. However, it does not appear that the woman filed a complaint.
In Italy for 17 years, the 35-year-old worked as a waitress in a local restaurant. Yesterday evening, Alfredi is said to have gone to the woman's house and a fight broke out between the parties. Then Klodiana left the house. Right on the sidewalk, a few meters away, he was killed by 3 pistol bullets, one of which took his life.
Those who found Klodiana's dead body in the middle of the road were the children, who came out together with other family members of the victim after hearing the shots.
Apart from the cartridges, the crime weapon, which is believed to have been taken by the killer as he drove away, was not found at the scene. It is learned that the authorities are analyzing the security cameras in the area, with the aim of catching him.
