The Korça Court has issued security measures for those accused of the murder of 14-year-old Erald Xhejo in the village of Pirg in Maliqi.
It is learned that the court has given the security measure "prison arrest" for the minor perpetrator Enedio Guri, his father Edison Guri and his uncle, Ronald Guri . Meanwhile, the measure "compulsory appearance" under the supervision of their parents has been given for the other 4 minors.
The perpetrator's lawyer said the perpetrator expressed remorse. He said that 14-year-old Enedio Guri said that "I did not want this to happen, that I knew that my actions would create this consequence, I express my condolences to the family."
"I express my condolences for the loss of the family members. The court decided that the perpetrator should be sentenced to prison. This consequence created by a momentary conflict, even though they are children, the court considered the arrest valid, both for the father E. Guri, as well as for the uncle. The court ruled that the arrest of the other minors was not lawful, but ordered parental supervision and appearance before the court. The perpetrator expressed remorse. He said he did not want this consequence to occur, that he knew that his actions would create this consequence, he expresses his condolences to the family. The father of the minor also stated the same thing, saying that he is sorry for the consequence," said the lawyer of the 14-year-old perpetrator.
Eight people were arrested in connection with the tragic incident in Maliq, where a 14-year-old teenager was killed.
The victim's age-mate, the 14-year-old suspected perpetrator of the murder, was arrested after attempting to flee the scene in a vehicle after committing the crime. His father and uncle were arrested along with the perpetrator after they hid the cutting tool used to commit the crime.
Also, 4 minors were handcuffed, present during the conflict between the 14-year-olds, who, through statements to the Police, attempted to prevent the discovery of the truth, and a 34-year-old, also present during the conflict, who attempted to leave the scene in the same vehicle as the 14-year-old.
The police seized the cutting tool (knife), the vehicle in which the 2 citizens attempted to flee, and 5 cell phones.
"Following the investigative and police actions carried out by the specialists for the Investigation of Serious Crimes of the DVP-Korça, in cooperation with the services of the Maliq Police Commissariat and under the direction of the Korça Prosecutor's Office, in relation to yesterday's event, in the village of Pirg, where a 14-year-old was killed with a cutting tool (knife), allegedly by a peer, during a conflict for weak motives, the following were arrested:
-citizen EG, 14 years old, resident of the village of Leminot, for the criminal offenses of "Intentional Murder" and "Irregular Driving". The 14-year-old was slightly injured during the conflict. He received the necessary medical assistance and left the hospital premises yesterday;
-citizens EG, 44 years old and RG, 44 years old, respectively the father and uncle of the 14-year-old, for the criminal offense of "Acts that hinder the discovery of the truth";
-4 minors, residents of the village of Zvirinë, for the criminal offenses of "Failure to report a crime" and "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth";
-citizen F. Ç., 34 years old, resident of the village of Leminot, for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime". The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor's Office for further action" , the police announced earlier.
