The German police continues to search for the perpetrators of the murder of the former Albanian boxer, Besar Nimani, while the reasons for the crime are still unclear. According to German media, the track of conflict between criminal groups has been removed and it is suspected that the murder has personal motives.
However, details from the life of the former boxer, who seems to have had criminal records and frequent conflicts with the law and justice, have come to light.
In 2012, the district court in Bielefeld sentenced the Kosovar with a 1350 euro fine for hitting a man in the head. A year later, on August 4, 2013, a situation in a kebab shop escalated, and Nimani and his men clashed with a Turkish citizen. After Niman's friend provoked the 44-year-old Turkish man, he hit him on the head with a glass of beer. Turku then pulled out a pistol, shot his assailant, hitting Niman in the leg with two bullets.
Meanwhile, last year, the former boxer was discovered with half a dozen firearms in his luggage during a police search in Bavaria. He defended himself to the investigators saying that he needed the weapons to protect his family. However, it is not known whether Nimani was threatened or was smuggling and used this excuse to exonerate himself.
As reported by the German media based on witness statements, the 38-year-old Albanian was shot while leaving a restaurant in the city. According to 'BILD', Nimani died on the spot. The German authorities have not yet made any arrests, while they are in pursuit of the perpetrators.
