The Durrës Court has imposed mandatory reporting and a ban on leaving the country for the 4 arrested people who were put in handcuffs for failing to report a crime related to the murder of two young men in Manëz over a coffee.
The trial was held without the presence of the media due to investigative secrecy.
The incident took place outside a bar in Manëz, where 33-year-old Flori Paluçi and 23-year-old Aranit Kurti were shot dead.
Ergi Kadiu, 25, Erald Cani, 21, and the two brothers Taulant and Emirjan Beqja, 37 and 34, were arrested, all accused of failing to report a crime.
How did the incident happen?
Citizen Daniel Pepa entered the bar and, for weak motives, had a verbal conflict with the bar's waiter and citizen Flori Paluçi (who was accompanied to the bar by several citizens, among them the arrested Erald Cani).
After the verbal conflict, citizen Daniel Pepa left the premises of the bar by vehicle, where he returned immediately afterwards, accompanied by the arrested citizen Ergi Kadiu and by citizen Aranit Kurti.
During the attempt of three citizens to enter the bar, citizen Flori Paluçi emerged from the bar and allegedly fired a gun at the ground.
At this moment, citizen Daniel Pepa is suspected of having fired a firearm at citizen Flori Paluçi, who was wounded, and the latter fired a firearm at citizens Daniel Pepa and Aranit Kurti (who is suspected of having punched citizen Florian Paluçi in the face). As a result, citizens Florian Paluçi and Aranit Kurti were killed.
Further investigations suggest that citizen GA fled the scene with citizen Daniel Papa.
Intensive searches continue for the capture of the suspected perpetrator of the murder of citizen Flori Paluçi, citizen Daniel Pepa, as well as for the capture of the wanted citizen GA.
