Other details have emerged regarding the incident that occurred in the Kodra e Prifti area of Tirana, where 74-year-old father Hekuran Gjoni stabbed his son, Asim Gjoni, 37, to death. The father and son lived in the same apartment where the crime occurred.
The police have detained the suspected perpetrator, a 74-year-old man, who was intoxicated. Meanwhile, from the evidence collected by the police, it is learned that there were no previous conflicts between the father and son, which seems to indicate that the cause of the serious incident was a momentary quarrel, perhaps caused by the state of both the father and the son, due to the alcohol they had consumed.
Reports indicate that the boy started joking with his father, who apparently lost patience and took out a knife, stabbing the boy in front of other family members. It was the latter who took the 37-year-old and transported him to the hospital, where he died, and the police were notified.
