The suspected perpetrator of the murder of Judge Astrit Kalaja and the injury of two other people (father and son) in the premises of the Court of Appeals has been identified as Elvis Shkëmbi.
The person in the photo is Gjon Shkëmbi, the author's father, who was inside the courtroom at the moment his son shot the judge.
We recall that Judge Kalaja was shot inside the courtroom, where he was hearing a property case.
It is learned that Elvis Shkëmbi entered the courthouse armed and shot the Appeals Judge, Astrit Kalaja, who unfortunately passed away.
The perpetrator was placed in handcuffs and his firearm was seized. Two other people who were in the courtroom at the time were injured.
It is unclear how an armed person managed to enter the premises of the Court of Appeal, managing to pass security checks and the electronic weapons scanner.
