He killed his colleague inside the police station, he is sentenced to 35 years in prison

The court of Tirana has sentenced to 35 years in prison the former policeman of Ludjan Zaimi, who on the evening of May 23, 2022, killed his colleague in the premises of police station No. 3 in Tirana.

The serious incident was recorded inside the premises of the police station, in the briefing office, shortly before the two officers of the General Patrol took their shift. The 25-year-old police officer shot his colleague, 55-year-old Çaush Saliasi, 6 times with his service weapon.

Saliasi was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately he died as a result of his injuries.

Ludjan Zaimi had only 1 and a half years in the State Police, while the victim Çaush Saliasi had over 20 years of career with the blue uniforms. The young man was taking anti-depressants, but according to the medical record he does not have mental health problems, he claimed that his colleague bullied him.
