New details have been revealed from the macabre crime in Durrës, where Pëllumb Meta was killed by his 3 children on February 10, while the latter are already behind bars.
It was Enxeni, who was the trigger to ask Hygerta's hand for her husband's brother, who showed that Hygerta's father was a loving man and that he did not want to betroth his daughter, because he was to continue university.
Even her husband rejects the motive stated by the daughter of the Meta family and further reinforced by the statements of her mother and brothers, that the reason was the decision to betroth her against her will, the violence and dictates of the father to decide on the fate of the children his.
"I was surprised when the police, who came to take the footage from the security cameras, asked me if we were looking for the girl for her brother-in-law. We clarified them and everything is clear. We have nothing more to say about this. We see our work, our account and we don't even know the girl, she always drove," said her husband.
They also state that they last saw him on Saturday, February 10, the day of the murder.
"He was in the bar and left around 13:00 - 13.10. He said that there was no work that day, he wanted a break. I need some rest, he said and went home", Enxeni said.
As in the police and in direct communication with them, the main motive given as the cause of the crime is overthrown.
