Three rented apartments where prostitution was practiced have been discovered in Tirana. Police have arrested 4 people and placed 2 others under investigation.
More specifically, three Colombian women, aged 21, 25 and 35, and a Spaniard who was exploiting them for prostitution have been arrested. Two Albanian nationals have been placed under investigation.
The Colombian women and the 26-year-old Spaniard were caught after practicing prostitution in an apartment they had rented, on "Ibrahim Rugova" street. While the two Albanian women after practicing prostitution, in two apartments they had rented, one on "Hoxha Tahsim" street, the other on "Myslym Shyri" street.
Police seized a large amount of money, suspected to be proceeds from prostitution, and several cell phones.
"3 rented apartments were discovered, in which prostitution was practiced, on "Ibrahim Rugova", "Hoxha Tahsim" and "Myslym Shyri" streets."
3 Colombian citizens are arrested and 2 Albanian citizens are criminally prosecuted for practicing prostitution.
A Spanish citizen who exploited the 3 Colombian citizens has been arrested for this criminal activity.
A sum of money, suspected to have been obtained from prostitution, and several cell phones were seized.
As a result of the intensive work carried out by the Trafficking Investigation Section, to identify and crack down on prostitution cases, based on information obtained through operational channels, the coded operation "Network" was organized and finalized, which hit 3 cases of this criminal activity. Following the actions in these cases, the following were arrested:
-Colombian citizens ML, 21 years old, VY, 25 years old, and LD, 35 years old, for allegedly practicing prostitution in an apartment they had rented, on "Ibrahim Rugova" Street;
-Spanish citizen JD, 26 years old, suspected of exploiting these citizens for this criminal activity.
Also, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizens VO, 34 years old, and S. Sh., 24 years old, after they practiced prostitution in two apartments they had rented, one on "Hoxha Tahsim" Street, the other on "Myslym Shyri" Street.
"Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, work continues to identify and bring to criminal responsibility other citizens who may be involved in these cases," the police announced.
