Greek police have carried out a mega-operation, called "Cerberus", arresting 23 people involved in human trafficking, while seizing 3,700 forged passports.

At least 4 laboratories producing counterfeit passports have been identified, from photos showing that they were mainly Albanian and Greek.

The investigation, which is ongoing, has so far resulted in the seizure of 3,700 counterfeit passports and ID cards from various countries and approximately 50,000 euros. Police officers found bags of counterfeit passports, drawers full of stamps and envelopes of money in the apartments they searched.

As shown in the video released by ELAS, the gang leader, who had set up a large laboratory in an apartment in the workers' housing area of ​​Peristeri, was arrested.

According to information, the network was involved in more than 500 cases of illegal migrant trafficking, earning at least 4 million euros.
