An official document filed with the United States Department of Justice by the American company Continental Strategy LLC reveals that Democratic Party Leader Sali Berisha continues to lobby for the removal of the 'non-grata'.
According to an amendment registered under the US Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), the American company Continental Strategy LLC has declared financial data for the period February 24, 2025 - August 31, 2025, where, as was known, it turns out that it also provided lobbying services to the Democratic Party.
The document reflects a payment of $750,000 made by the Democratic Party for lobbying services to change the US State Department's decision against Berisha.
But more interesting is the fact that the document does not mention any change in the goals, status or content of the lobbying relationship (the mandatory action that must be reported to the DASH, if any). In other words, under these conditions Berisha will continue the lobbying contract with the American company Continental Strategy LLC, despite the fact that for 6 months there has been no positive sign of removing the black mark.
Despite everything, Berisha's insistence on continuing lobbying seems even more strange when you consider that just a few days ago the US Congress presented a document entitled the "Western Balkans Democracy and Prosperity Act", which, among other things, also envisages the codification of sanctions related to the Western Balkans.
Referring to the document, the sanctions can only be lifted by the US President, who must convince the relevant subcommittees in Congress to do so, which shows that it is not only a simple, long, but also complicated process.
