Asked directly whether Alimehmeti will be the official candidate of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha did not confirm, but neither did he deny the possibility. Meanwhile, he harshly attacked Rama's election, calling Manastirliu the "Covid raven", a direct reference to the Ministry of Health's management of the pandemic. " The DP has prominent figures to present to the citizens of Tirana, who embody every value in the face of a person who is a black symbol for Tirana and the nation ", declared Berisha.
