Arlind Qori warns of protests: Citizens disappointed by the old parties, we want to restore hope

The chairman of Lévizje Bashke, Arlind Qori, said that his party will organize protests in the fall. He said that after emerging as the third force from the May 14 elections, the United Movement is ready to give its best and move forward.
In an interview for 'Report Tv', Qori spoke of growing support from citizens, which has pushed the Joint Movement to be even more active.

"We are already a party that has received a part of the citizens' trust. We have many plans and will. Dissatisfaction is multifaceted. Citizens have this 32-year-old man's mouth. Citizens are disillusioned with the old parties and barely see a ray of light. After we managed to get almost 5% of the votes in Tirana, even those who didn't vote for us with the mindset that "they can't be broken", have had a hope. After the elections, we had even more support", said Qori.

As he had warned, Arlind Qori did not accuse anyone of stealing votes, while adding that he is indebted to the citizens of Tirana for their trust.

"We entered the elections with a party that controlled the electoral process. It was a one-party election in terms of organization. We have protected every vote and not a single vote has been stolen. We had debates with the socialist counters, for example, they removed some votes from me where there were 3 boxes, while they called Veliaj a ballot that had a genital organ drawn on it. However, we have no serious complaints. We are proud and indebted to the citizens of Tirana", said the chairman of Lévizje Bashke.

Asked if he received an invitation with the last initiative of the small parties, which he presented this Thursday, to change the Electoral Code, Qori categorically denied becoming part of the old parties that no longer have anything to offer, except the pretext for appear on the screen.

"We did not have an offer. Because we would reject any offer from old party actors. What do I have to do with Media, for example? I don't want to be a deputy, I believe in honest politics. To me, these initiatives seem like an excuse to appear on TV", he concluded.
