Bardhi comes out against Berisha on primaries: They should not be held, they

The head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has come out against the Democratic Party's primaries process ahead of this year's parliamentary elections.

Bardhi stressed that there is no decision yet by the Democratic Party not to hold primary elections, adding that the DP has been engaged in processes that have higher priorities than organizing this internal process. He explained that the vote within the party is a sign of democratization, but stressed that any internal process must be careful to avoid destabilization and divisions.

Bardhi also said that the primaries process is enjoyed by every member of the party, but that, ultimately, it is more important that the Democratic Party wins the elections. He compared this to the local elections process, where DP members have gone through a similar process, while the elections for deputies are a much more difficult step.

Despite support for the primaries from some members, Bardhi acknowledged that there is also criticism within the party about the possibility of such a race, emphasizing that at the moment it may not be the best choice to carry out this process within the party. He also added that the Democratic Party has had problems with membership lists and that clashes within the party are often greater than those with political opponents.

Bardhi underlined that care and prudence are necessary in organizing any internal process, to preserve the unity and strength of the party.

" There is no decision by the DP not to hold primary elections. We do not have a date because the DP has also been involved in other processes that are considered much more priority than an internal process. The vote within the party shows democratization, but any kind of internal process must be in a form that does not bring destabilization or division."

The primary process is something every party member likes, but between that and the fact that the party has to win the election, Democrats choose the best chance to win the election. Each of them has gone through a primary process during local elections, and it must be said that on the list for deputies it is a much more difficult process.

At the moment, it may not be the best choice to hold a contest within the party according to the opinion of some Democratic members, while there are others who are in their favor at all costs. Today, we have problems with the membership lists, when the process ends, we have problems when they oppose the membership lists and stories of this nature. The clash within the party, we Democrats have more anger within ourselves than with the political opponent. When you are in opposition and you do not have an army party, it undoubtedly arouses dissatisfaction and brings departures, fewer votes consequently. There must be maximum care if the primaries are to be held for the way they will be carried out , "said Bardhi in "Open".
