Opposition municipalities ignore Rama's action, Hil Curri: No employee
Hil Curri

Known as the opposition mayor who has good relations with Prime Minister Rama, Hil Curri has not decided to implement the message of the head of government, including in the Municipality of Fushë Arrëz, where he heads, to dismiss the deputy mayors and administrators.

When asked by News24, Curri says that he has not considered the removal of the administrators and deputy mayors at all, adding that he is satisfied with their performance. Mayor Curri says that human resources remain a problem in his area, which makes replacement impossible.

"The deputy mayors and administrators are mobile, but so far I have not found any evidence that their work has not been appropriate. It was a general order from Rama, but not all municipalities had the same problem and we as a municipality do not have this problem," Curri claims.

Asked about his good relations with Rama, from which he has apparently also benefited with funds, Hil Curri says that his goal is to serve the residents and to achieve this, cooperation with the government is needed.

"Rama is the country's prime minister, regardless of political beliefs. The local government has a duty to cooperate and serve the residents, which can only be achieved through cooperation," says Hil Curri.

The mayor of Fushe Arrëz says that more than an order for movement in the administration, he hopes for the government's support in granting permits for wind and photovoltaic parks to interested companies, which would pave the way for the development of the municipality he leads in northern Albania, providing jobs, alleviating poverty and creating income for the municipality.
