Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Antonio Costa jointly sent messages about the need for the European Union to prepare for the worst-case scenarios if the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz continues.

Kyriakos and Macron will discuss these issues in detail tomorrow afternoon and Saturday, but before that, the European Union Summit will take place in Nicosia. Its agenda includes, among other things, the unblocking of the 90 billion euro loan for Ukraine, as well as the 20th package of sanctions against Russia, both of which Viktor Orbán had blocked.
His successor as Prime Minister of Hungary, Péter Magyar, will make his debut in his first Council, who, in addition to lowering the average age, also brings a kind of "star" halo to the Council. Of course, geopolitical issues, European security, but also the Spanish proposal for the European Union to secede from Israel will be on the table.
The Greek media analysis ironically states that Pedro Sánchez has not yet asked for Turkey and its allies, such as Iran, to be more deeply involved. However, he estimates that the latter is unlikely to happen, as Germany has already given the signal that such things are not done.
Rama 'filled with honey'
Ndërkohë, kryeministri shqiptar Edi Rama ishte “i mbushur me mjaltë”, kur mbërriti në Pallatin Maximos për takimin me homologun e tij grek. Zoti Rama ka kuptuar jo vetëm ngritjen gjeopolitike të Greqisë me mbështetje të plotë nga Shtetet e Bashkuara, por edhe peshën e Kyriakos Mitsotakis brenda Bashkimit Evropian, si dhe rolin e Greqisë në çështjet energjetike.
Shqipëria po troket në derën e Bashkimit Evropian dhe e di se pa Greqinë kjo derë nuk do të hapet kurrë. Gjatë takimit, Kyriakos Mitsotakis u soll me takt. Ai shmangu t’u referohej problemeve që lidhen me të drejtat e pronësisë së vorio-epirotëve dhe të minoritetit grek, uzurpimit dhe përvetësimit të ashpër të tokave në Sarandë, çështje për të cilat, sipas autorit, Fredi Beleri qëndroi për një vit në burg me qëllim që të hiqej nga posti i kryebashkiakut, si edhe çështjeve të tjera të ngjashme.
Ai e la Ramën të fliste vetëm për një “gjemb”, përcaktimin e Zonës Ekskluzive Ekonomike me referim në Hagë, pasi edhe aty, pala shqiptare vë në dyshim çështje sovraniteti, shkruan media greke.

Megjithatë, më interesant se vetë prania e Ramës ishte zhvillimi paralel, pasi u nënshkrua një Memorandum Mirëkuptimi (MoU) ndërmjet Fondit të Pasurive Publike të Greqisë (Growth Fund of Greece) dhe Fondit Shqiptar të Investimeve (Albanian Investment Corporation - AIC).
Siç tha drejtori ekzekutiv i Fondit grek, G. Papachristou, Memorandumi “dërgon një mesazh shumë të fortë për komunitetin ndërkombëtar të investimeve se vendet tona fqinje janë të hapura ndaj botës dhe të gatshme të ecin përpara së bashku”.
Ndërsa Elira Kokona, drejtoreshë ekzekutive e Fondit Shqiptar të Investimeve, theksoi se “të dy organizmat nuk nisin nga zeroja, pasi kanë tashmë portofol aktiv, por tani do të mund të identifikojnë së bashku mundësi, të strukturojnë projekte dhe t’ua paraqesin ato investitorëve”.
Në artikull thuhet se ndonëse nuk ka informacione mbi asetet e fondit shqiptar, por kujton se fondi grek ka në administrim të gjithë pasurinë publike të shtetit grek, ndërsa figura të opozitës kryesore, si Pavlos Geroulanos, janë shprehur vazhdimisht për nevojën që ky fond të mbyllet, duke argumentuar se tashmë nuk ka më arsye për ekzistencën e tij.
