Berisha curses the police: May God kill them for the gas in the Mosque!

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted harshly to the police intervention during the opposition protest. He said that tear gas was thrown near the Namazgja Mosque, at the moment when believers were praying the Tarawih Prayer, during the month of Ramadan.

During the protest, Berisha cursed the police officers, declaring: “May God kill them for the gas in the mosque.” He added that the police had thrown smoke bombs and gas on different floors of the mosque while the faithful were praying.

"In order to prevent the territory of the Mosque from being involved in any kind of confrontation, the armed uprising forces deviated in the opposite direction. This was not enough, we filmed the bandits in uniform. They threw smoke bombs and gas on different floors of the Mosque, when the believers were praying. They filled the Mosque with tear gas. May God kill them. For this ugly crime, they are the descendants of their barbaric fathers. I call on Muslim believers to condemn this ugly act. Our peaceful protest will not stop, but will do everything to exclude any action with the opponent, only so that they do not disrupt the Namaz," said Berisha.

According to protesters and believers present in the area, the gas was thrown very close to the mosque, causing the temporary interruption of prayers.

"They can do whatever they want, but at least not here at the mosque. They all came out, stopped praying and left," a believer told the media.
