The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has accused Prime Minister Rama of public fraud and misgovernment.
During his speech at the next "Poltorena" in front of the Prime Minister's Office, Berisha stated that citizens face a difficult economic reality and continuous propaganda.
"We live in an extraordinary terror of propaganda and deception," Berisha said.
According to him, the government manipulates public opinion through controlled media. “Government-controlled media… spread deception and fabrications to keep the regime afloat,” he said.
Berisha focused particularly on the price of fuel, describing it as one of the main problems for citizens.
"Oil has reached the highest levels in the world... Albania has the highest fiscal burden in the world on fuels," he declared.
He also accused Rama of fraud regarding the promise to reduce excise taxes. "He is mocking Albanians by saying he is reducing excise taxes... he has no scruples," Berisha said.
In his speech, the DP leader also raised accusations of corruption and electoral manipulation. "They must cover up Rama's thefts... the theft of the free vote and public fraud ," he said.
Berisha also criticized policies towards citizens and various groups, mentioning students. "You pay the highest fee in Europe... this is what I call my lifetime achievement," he declared.
In conclusion, he accused the government of a lack of responsibility and sensitivity towards citizens.
"We are dealing with a man who has no shame or feelings... who has corrupted to the core," said Berisha.
