The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, congratulated Catholic believers on the occasion of Easter, after visiting the "St. Paul" Cathedral in Tirana.
In his statement to the media, Berisha described this day as the most important in the history of Western civilization, emphasizing its role in shaping human and moral values.
"To the Albanian Catholic believers and all over the world, I wish you a happy resurrection of Christ, the most important day in the history of Western civilization. The resurrection of Christ marks the most inspiring moment for all humanity, as his messages were transformed into the moral principles of civilized man," he said.
The DP leader added that he hopes that the upcoming holidays will be celebrated in a better reality for the country.
"Let us hope that next Easter we celebrate better and without this great evil that has befallen Albania in recent years," said Berisha.
