The Prime Minister takes aim at the opposition and accuses it of trying to hinder the country's EU membership, throwing mud and tar at the good works of the Government.
Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted harshly to the opposition, accusing it of trying to block Albania's integration process into the European Union. While expressing optimism and announcing good news expected to come from Brussels, Rama said that the statements being made about blocking the process are a big lie.
In the 'Flasim' podcast that Prime Minister Rama broadcasts on his social media platform every Sunday, he emphasized that the minority in the Assembly is trying to undermine every good work done by the government.
" There is no talk about the affairs of Albania. But on the contrary, the affairs of Albania are identified with a miserable political war. They do their best to cover the affairs of Albania with the tar of their despair and the mud of all their anger. Albania works and the affairs of Albania as a whole are in line.
The most important historical process of Albania's EU membership is underway. Negotiations continue, but they are linked to the big lie that they are blocked. The simple truth is that this great work of Albania continues every day. And soon, as we have had the news of the opening of chapters, we will have very good news for everyone , "said Rama.
But the Prime Minister admitted that not every job that has been done has been done as well as it should be. But according to him, what is important is that things are on track.
" It has become difficult to get direct information. Albania has problems and we have work to do, we have not done every job properly and as much as we should, but Albania is working and its work as a whole is on track ," said Rama.
The positions expressed by the Head of Government in the podcast are the same as those he has articulated in the SP Assemblies, while he has begun a round of meetings with party structures, as part of what he considers their re-energisation.
" There is a lot of noise, a lot of fog, a lot of smoke, a lot of poison around and it has become impossible to follow public and political life normally and to be informed normally by the media about what is happening in relation to the things that interest people and I believe you have seen how much has been said in reverse about the negotiation process with the EU, no it was blocked, no it was stopped, no this work is not being done with Edi Rama and the SP, etc etc ", declared Rama in one of the recent meetings with the SP structures.
The Prime Minister's statements and accusations against the opposition come at a time when leaders and deputies of the Democratic Party (DP) hold Edi Rama responsible for blocking the EU membership process. According to the opposition, the process has been stopped due to government corruption and Edi Rama's pressure on justice, as well as its obstruction to strike at the highest levels. The leader of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, has stated that with Edi Rama as Prime Minister, EU integration cannot be expected, and has called for his removal.
