SPAK's official announcement of the end of the investigations against the former minister Arben Ahmetaj, related to the file of the Bakery Factory-Tirana, can be called incompetence, incompetence, failure, deviation and clientelism ordered, to definitely punish him as soon as possible.
First, this belief is created by the fact that SPAK has taken Arben Ahmetaj under investigation for the Tirana landfill, after the public threat that Prime Minister Edi Rama made to him in February 2023; that he would act as a wild prosecutor and judge against him, while on July 14 he removed his immunity and was given the measure "Arrest in prison" and international wanted.
However, on December 7, 2023, SPAK announced that it has closed the investigations and brought the former minister Arben Ahmetaj to trial, related to the accusation of abuse of office and economic damage to the state, in the procedures for the privatization of the Bakery Factory-Tirana.
It is absurd to even think that at the request of SPAK, former minister Ahmetaj's immunity was removed and he is under arrest in prison and wanted internationally for the Tirana landfill, while SPAK itself took him to trial for the Bread Factory.
The criminal procedure for the landfill was carried out by SPAK in February 2023, but although it stated that it has carried out full and in-depth investigations, it is not taking the file to court, even though 10 months have passed since the date of the procedure and 6 months since the removal of immunity and the "Arrest in prison" measure.
While the criminal proceedings, for the file of the Bread Factory, SPAK announced on October 7, 2023, stating that a full investigation of the case was carried out; and now after 2 months, on December 7, 2023, announced that the file has been taken to trial.
SPAK "must be congratulated" for starting to conduct quick investigations, not least with the selection of high-ranking officials declared "enemies" by Bablok, but one must ask about these positions:
- What embarrassment or obstacle is there, that the former minister Arben Ahmetaj's file about the landfill of Tirana is not being brought to court, started as a process as early as June 2022 and fully investigated (according to Altin Duman), while a file is being brought to trial another, with an investigation started 2 months ago?!
As it seems, SPAK has been bluffed by the scenario against Arben Ahmetaj, because in the Tirana landfill file, former minister Ahmetaj has 4 letters and decisions against him, while Prime Minister Edi Rama, secretary Úngjëll Agaçi and mayor Erjon Veliaj, show that have signed for the construction of the landfill of Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtiri.
Even for the privatization of the Bread Factory, the former minister Arben Ahmetaj presented 53 official written proofs, which show it clean and not implicated, just like the Tirana landfill.
