Former Democratic Party MP Ervin Salianji has spoken about the problems that the Democrats are going through.
Two days after the meeting in Korça, Salianji stated that the people of the DP at the grassroots level are dissatisfied with the government, but equally with the leadership of the DP, because they are arrogant.
Asked what dissatisfaction they have with Flamur Noka or Sali Berisha, Salianji responded by saying that they are not interested in the citizens, while adding that meritocracy has been destroyed in the DP.
"These are meetings that I hold myself. I go the day before, discuss with them, ask what they think. But today no one asks them, it seems like they have workers. They get a mandate and leave. They don't confront anyone. They have dissatisfaction with everyone because the DP doesn't do it like that. The votes show it. We don't make a deputy mandate with the votes that were received. We have previously elected 7-8 deputies in those areas. People are dissatisfied with the government, but they say that they don't want someone who doesn't ask us to come to our house, with the same arrogance as the SP. They are unemployed, they get fines from taxes, from the police and they are shunned. And when it comes to deputies, people come who they don't know at all. The meritocracy in the DP has been destroyed. Let them have primaries. On the other hand, they say different things in the morning and different things in the afternoon, like for SPAK and for the US. Candidates for the municipality should be elected a year in advance ," he declared for "TPZ".
