Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed optimism regarding Albania's progress towards the European Union, emphasizing that this is also appreciated by the European Parliament's draft resolution on our country.
In his podcast 'Flasim' where he addresses various issues, Rama also focused on EU integration, highlighting the opening of all group chapters within 13 months. Stressing that the objective is to close the negotiations within 2027, Rama said that the positive progress in the integration process was also confirmed by the meetings that the pluralist delegation of the European Parliament held in Tirana this week.
" The draft resolution published by the European Parliament for our country is a clear assessment of Albania's progress.
That document appreciates the opening of all group chapters within 13 months, which constitutes a record in the history of European integration, and in the meantime emphasizes the rapid and significant pace of the negotiation process, underlining our ambition to conclude the negotiations within 2027, highlighting progress in strengthening democratic institutions, the rule of law, socio-economic reform, environmental policies, regional cooperation, and compliance with the EU's common foreign and security policy.
"This draft resolution is another very important signal to our public: Albania is moving at pace, with stability and with strategic clarity in the right direction. The same was confirmed by the meetings that the pluralist delegation of the European Parliament held in Tirana this week ," said Rama.
