The Electoral College has rejected the request of the Democratic Party candidate in the Durrës district, Andia Ulliri, who sought the mandate that the Central Election Commission had given to Arjan Ndoja.
As a result, the mandate remains with Arjan Ndoja. At the beginning of the session, the former prosecutor's lawyer requested that Andia Ulliri not be recognized as a legitimate party in this process.
After hearing the parties and reviewing the request, the trial panel decided to dismiss the case, reasoning that Andia Ulliri does not have standing as a plaintiff.
On July 30, the Complaints and Sanctions Commission rejected the complaint of the democratic candidate for the May 11 elections, Andia Ulliri, leaving the mandate of the deputy for the Durrës district on the open list in force with the former prosecutor, Arjan Ndoja.
In her request, Ulliri emphasized that the ranking of winning candidates, as currently reflected on the official CEC website, does not respect the gender representation clearly defined in the Constitution and the Electoral Code.
