Today's plenary session has been constantly accompanied by tensions between the political parties. The opposition has insisted on an urgent session to discuss Ahmetaj's case, while the speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, has opposed it, calling it illegal.
The General Secretary of the DP Gazment Bardhi responded to the Speaker of the Assembly Nikolla, who accused her of reading articles of the regulation that have nothing to do with the agenda.
"You have spent 3 hours reading 70 articles of the regulation that have nothing to do with the agenda, for you the regulation is just like a deputy of yours. You can do it as often as you want, when the criminal groups ask you to urgently pass the law on cannabis, you do it. You have 3 hours to block the session. You issued an order for the Law Commission to meet to discuss the cannabis law, so for criminal groups you do not ask for regulations, while procedures are needed to bring Ahmetaj to justice as soon as possible. The session cannot continue, we do not need the election commissioner's report, there was a report on the tenders, ok, we submitted a request, you have the duty to put it to the vote, reject it, but you cannot ignore it. Parliament is not your God,said White.
Lindita Nikolla responded by saying that she cannot vote on a request that has no substance. She also stated that the deputies have not yet been notified of the report.
