Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a last conference for this year with journalists, focused on the 'McGonigal' case, for which SPAK has launched an investigation.
He said that he is not worried and that there is no need to, since this matter has been investigated in the US.
"Why should I be concerned about the McGonigal case, when that case was investigated in the US?" It has nothing to do with what is said here. SPAK should investigate, there is no problem," he said.
A few days ago, the Head of the Special Prosecutor's Office, Altin Dumani, in an informal meeting with journalists, spoke about the "McGonigal" case, a file that also includes the name of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
He said that there is a report in SPAK that was made by Gazment Bardhi, as he confirmed the registration of the proceedings, but did not comment on what stage the investigations are at or if there has been cooperation with the American authorities.
'We cannot give any information. We had a whistleblower (Gazment Bardhi), we informed him about everything he requested, but we asked him to sign on the preservation of investigative secrecy and not to make it public.', Dumani said.
