Fatos Nano, the historic leader of the Socialists and former Prime Minister, passed away at the age of 73. Almost all of Albanian politics has expressed appreciation for the figure of the former Prime Minister.
Agron Duka, chairman of the PAA, today an ally of Sali Berisha, but more than two decades ago one of Nano's main supporters and friends, wrote in a reaction on social networks that Fatos Nano was a man of innate intelligence and deep knowledge.
The Duke adds that Nano did not know how to take revenge, but rather how to forgive.
"A person knows many people in life, but not all of them leave deep traces like mother, father, and family."
One man I will never forget was Fatos Nano.
A man of innate intelligence, but also profound in knowledge. He was guided by love for people.
He didn't know how to take revenge, but he knew how to forgive.
Albanians were lucky to have a tolerant, socially liberal, and knowledgeable man like him in a difficult era.
"Rest in peace, my friend. May you be in heaven," the Duke wrote.
