Fireworks, cheers and celebrations at the Democratic Party headquarters after the vote count that reconfirmed Sali Berisha as leader of the Democratic Party was completed. The Democratic leader appeared before supporters, describing the process as a "massive vote of confidence", while promising that even the votes against would be "recorded".
After the publication of preliminary results, according to which Berisha received over 97% of the votes in the process where he ran unopposed, the blue headquarters turned into a festive atmosphere with fireworks and calls for support for the historic leader of the Democrats.
In his speech, Berisha thanked the Democrats for their support, but also touched on the votes against and abstentions that emerged during the process.
" I am here to express my boundless gratitude, my deepest respect for all those democrats who voted today for my reaffirmation in a massive vote of confidence at the head of the DP. A special gratitude also goes to those who voted differently. I guarantee that their different vote, whether against or abstention, will be recorded in the sense that I will do everything to give the best response to those hesitations or remarks ," declared Berisha.
The leader of the Democratic Party called this process "the most important vote" for the Democrats and said that the Democratic Party emerges stronger from this referendum.
" This is the most important, most extraordinary vote because with this vote of confidence you decided to walk undefeated towards our major goals. They have elected a stronger DP than ever in its existence. As we voted today, Albanians will vote tomorrow. This is our oath! ", he said.
Berisha did not spare any attacks on Prime Minister Edi Rama, accusing him of lacking legitimacy.
" Edi Rama, know well that for this 40,000-strong army, you have zero legitimacy! Wherever you go, to the moon and behind the sun, you go like a disfigured thief ," said Berisha.
The voting process in the DP was accompanied throughout the day by intense political debates, accusations of a lack of real competition, and claims of voter manipulation, as Berisha was the only candidate in the race for party leadership.

Ore nuk po kuptoj; berisha fitoi zgjedhjet parlamentare dhe do jetë kryeministër , apo thjesht rehatoi të ndenjurat e familjes dhe një grupi lëpirësish që ka në parlament. Po pse s' ju ha mortja more të mjerë. Po kaq nuk e kuptoni që atij si plas fare as për popull as për demokratë dhe për as kënd.
