Cyber attack on the Parliament, Rama: We have the new law ready to protect
Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama called the cyber attack on the Parliament's website as very vicious. However, the head of the government added that most of the damage was avoided.

In this regard, Rama stated that with the start of the new parliamentary session, the legislators will pass a law on cyber security.

Also, the prime minister clarified that the Parliament website was not under the protection of the National Agency for National Security, as it has its own host.

" The attack on the infrastructures covered by AKSHI has been reversed. The Parliament has its own hosting, outside the scope covered by the ANA. The government has decided to bring the law on cyber security to the Parliament. All institutions, including the courts, will be brought under an umbrella called the national society ," said Rama

This mechanism, according to the head of the government, will be the main guarantee to protect against cyber attacks at the national level.

An infrastructure that is being built and ready to host everyone under the protection of our new cyber defense agency that we have created. There are many other steps that need to be taken. We inherited a digital legacy ," he added.

It is expected that with the new law, even the private sector will be forced to take measures for cyber security.

" All companies and institutions will be subject to certain rules and will finance security ", concluded Rama.
