Prime Minister Edi Rama at the year-end conference with journalists also spoke about the leader of the opposition, Lulzim Basha, whom he said should be "asleep".
Asked about a new spirit of opposition, Rama said that it is very weak and that it would be better if the opposition could be done by itself.
"If I took it upon myself to make the opposition for myself and the government, I would be much better than all of them, I can tell you... But I can't do it. The year ended with a weak opposition, but it is not part of of my mission to build a strong opposition. I am very sorry, but I have said this for a long time, not that I am a prophet nor do I see the cup, but you would have to be very blind not to have seen for a long time that this was coming.
Lulzim Basha's whereabouts are unknown. I can tell you that now at this hour he is sleeping. I am sure. Yes, and if he wakes up, we don't expect anything new," said Rama.
Asked about the issue of January 21, the Prime Minister said that without a solution to this issue, justice in Albania will be morally crippled.
And as for Basha, he described it as part of the chain of command, how long he held the office of the Minister of the Interior.
"As for January 21, without being judged on January 1 and without punishing the real culprits, justice in Albania will be a morally crippled justice.
As for Lulzim Basha, he was the Minister of the Interior, he is undoubtedly part of the chain of command, but I am neither the Prosecutor's Office nor the judge, but I can say that January 21 is a state crime and the decision of the Strasbourg Court is so clear. where the black on the white has been set by the hand of judges of the highest repute in Europe. There is a chain of crimes, it's not just murder," said Rama.
