Tedi Blushi, Secretary General of the PL, said during a press conference that the Prisons Directorate has taken a disciplinary measure against the leader of the PL, Ilir Meta.
Blushi said that the President of the Freedom Party has been banned for 10 days from participating in sports activities in the premises of prison 313, where he has been held since October 21 of last year, because he gave an interview to a visual media outlet.
"The Freedom Party also strongly condemns the criminal attempt of the Narcoregime, which, after restricting his freedom of movement by unjustly isolating him, is completely ridiculously attempting to deprive President Meta of his freedom of speech and right to communicate with journalists."
The most ridiculous case happened today when the Disciplinary Committee of the IEPV "Jordan Misja" sentenced President Meta to 10 days to not engage in sports activities in the detention facilities just because a few days ago he conducted a live interview.
These practices, as ridiculous as they are disgusting and repressive, prove the true face and degradation of the Narcoregime, which with the help of SPAK is making every effort to hit and isolate the leaders of the opposition. President Meta at the head of the Freedom Party is leading its political activity and positions with complete political determination and efficiency, despite the conditions of isolation he enjoys complete health and guarantees all independent journalists that no measure of repression or restriction imposed by the Narcoregime will ever be able to prohibit his freedom of speech and the right to communicate with independent media.
"The Freedom Party is totally on the side of its President Meta in this principled battle for freedom, democracy, accountability, transparency, true justice and the rule of law in Albania and more determined in defending its major causes, to dismantle this criminal, Sorosist and mafia agenda for the complete takeover of the country by the Narcoregime," said Blushi.
