Ervin Salianji, former DP MP, a few days ago during a television interview declared that he has ambitions to take over the leadership of this party. Salianji also stated that strong protests should be organized to overthrow the government.
Salianji's statement has caused a reaction from another former MP, Edmond Spaho, highlighting the clash that has existed between the two former lawmakers of the Korça region for years. Both Salianji and Spaho have shown a kind of rivalry between them regarding who would lead the Korça region. During the time when the DP was led by Lulzim Basha, Salianji had stronger positions than Spaho, who was among the first names to side with Berisha, when the latter started the war with Basha.
In a post on social media, Spaho writes that if Salianji is brave, he will have to face Sali Berisha in the race for the leadership of the DP.
"Waaaa... but when will you run? Or when the grapes are ripe? Hold on? Dili in front of Berisha. Did you talk to Muli that you will run for party leader? Stop farting!
Then stop with those protests that you made us lose. When will you start them or in August when the grapes are ripe?
"Fix your teeth once and for all like you fixed the other beauties, then we'll talk about mass protests," writes Edmond Spaho.
