MP Erald Kapri has raised concerns in the Assembly about the alleged threats against MP Marjana Koçeku, requesting clarification from institutions on whether she has been guaranteed the necessary protection.
During his speech, Kapri focused on the public denunciation made by Koçek, who stated that she was threatened by the Bajra group, and asked whether the Ministry of Interior and the Republic Guard have taken measures for her security.
"We have not heard from you regarding the public denunciation made by MP Koçeku that she is being threatened by one of Albania's gangs. We want to know if you have had contact, if the Ministry of Interior and the Guard have taken the MP under protection, because the fact that she is missing means that it is difficult for her to carry out her function," said Kapri.
The MP also raised the issue of protests against the project in Zvërnec, demanding that the topic be addressed as a priority by the Assembly.
"It makes no sense to approve a criminal amnesty while young people are taking to the streets. How can this parliament remain silent? Make it an issue of the day, a motion with debate. If this doesn't happen, dissolve parliament ," he declared.
Kapri requested that the Assembly hold a special debate on the situation created around Zvërnec, arguing that public reactions and protests require a political and institutional response.
