The deputy of DP, Dashnor Sula called SPAK's request for house arrest for Sali Berisha as excessive, accompanied by other additional measures such as the presence of a policeman or the removal of the right to communicate with people other than family members.
In an interview for the show "Now" on "Euronews Albania", Sula said that there are similar cases that are accused of more serious crimes and are without insurance measures.
" The request for house arrest was made, the request for police outside the door is excessive. How can it happen that you don't have the right to see your daughter, your granddaughter? For me, SPAK's request is excessive. They can take away his phone and Facebook. There are similar cases that, even for more serious crimes, there is no insurance measure. You have former ministers with a much more serious charge, with economic damage of millions of euros. I would very much agree that if Berisha was accused of a serious crime, such as the concessions that have brought great damage to the state, we would have a different approach ," said Sula.
