At the year-end conference, Prime Minister Edi Rama did not hesitate to continue with his propaganda for salary increases.

Rama said that for 2024, the average salary will continue to increase to 900 euros.

"The minimum wage this year increased to the value of 40 thousand lek, which practically coincides thanks to the strengthening of the local currency like never before by 400 euros. Also, all support and compensation programs have started, either for the effects of the increase in insurance contributions. Public sector salaries have started to rise significantly. Next year in June, they will have another increase foreseen in the 2024 budget. Educators, military, police officers, doctors and administration workers will have an increase that will bring the average salary in the public sector to 900 euros", said Rama.
