After several hours of intense discussions, the closed-door meeting between Prime Minister Edi Rama, MPs, ministers and Tirana Municipality leaders has concluded. Shortly after the meeting ended, official photos were also distributed, showing the serious tone and charged atmosphere of the talks.
The meeting focused on the action to free public spaces and control the territory, with the Prime Minister issuing clear messages about the punishment of any official who tolerates or fails to report unauthorized construction. Rama warned that inaction will be considered complicity and will be followed by criminal prosecution.
One of the main points was the transformation of the Tirana Municipality regulation on the management of public spaces, which, according to Rama, will be adopted as a national regulation. It will serve the inspectors of the Territory Protection, the municipal and state police, but also the citizens themselves, as an instrument to restore order and urban control.
