Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced the drafting of a blacklist of builders who abuse the law. He has gathered the leaders of the Tirana Municipality and the capital's deputies in a meeting, where he has given directives on the action to free up public spaces.
" The creation of a blacklist of those who abuse the territory will be approved by law. They will lose the right to obtain a building permit. We will take measures for a very problematic category of builders. The measures will be drastic ," said Rama.
According to him, measures will be taken against all builders who sell apartments multiple times or deceive the responsible bodies.
But the problem is that the prime minister forgets that he has been in power for 13 years. It is very good that he will start this action, but aren't his municipalities the ones that have issued building permits? Isn't it the National Territorial Council headed by him that has issued building permits to these builders.
Also, a few years ago, Rama launched a similar action for illegal floors, that action lasted "3 days". It was never found out what happened with the seized floors and the criminal proceedings. People like Pëllumb Salillari not only threw the law into disrepute, but also repossessed the illegal floors.
Likewise with legalized facilities. The problem lies with the Cadastre, since the scandal is that they are legalized in flagrant violation. Likewise with construction, every Municipality and inspectors must supervise the works of a facility. So the Prime Minister has closed his eyes in these 13 years and now he remembers.
