The Prime Minister warned that all abandoned buildings in Albania, which have been abandoned since the 1990s, will be confiscated for public interest.
He also emphasized that facilities in which the construction permit has been violated beyond the 2% limit provided for in the permit will also be confiscated.
" On the other hand, we will take another measure to confiscate in the public interest all abandoned buildings and all abandoned buildings throughout Albania since the 1990s, which stand like shacks and which also have environmental and human health problems. We will also finally clarify the aspect with which many people in the justice system have played, who have taken sides and violated both legal and complicated ones, when it comes to violating the construction permit by 2% of the permit limits. 2% is completely reasonable, which is also the case in other countries of the world, but when this 2% is exceeded, this will provoke the immediate seizure of the entire construction, not just a part. The illegality is complete because violations in construction and the construction of additional volumes for profit are done consciously and are a continuing violation of the law. This will bring about the immediate transfer of that property to the state's doors ," said Rama.
