The protest announced by Adriatik Lapaj and activists of the "Albania Becomes" movement has begun in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
Hundreds of citizens and supporters were seen on the boulevard this evening, waving flags and banners and chanting against the government.
With chants of "Edi Rama, coward" and "Resign", they marched to the Prime Minister's Office on the main boulevard.
They also held a large banner with Marco Rubio's message about drug cartels.
The protest has been called to denounce corruption, the capture of institutions, and abuses of public assets.
Activists have announced a peaceful but determined rally in front of the building where, according to them, "power and injustice are concentrated."
We recall that the Republican Guard blocked the doors of the Prime Minister's Office with metal plates yesterday evening, fearing that there would be a scenario of tensions.
Adriatik Lapaj declared that he will not stop the protests until Rama leaves.
He clashed several times with police forces, who not only forcibly removed him, but also took away his support equipment such as chairs, blankets, tents, and even heaters.
In one of the episodes of police violence against his supporters, Lapaj suffered head injuries and was admitted to the Trauma Hospital.
