Evi Kokalari has launched another frontal attack on Fatmir Mediu and Sali Berisha. According to her, the head of the Republican Party has knocked on the doors of the Department of Justice in Washington DC to seek help against the GJKKO accusations in the Gerdec case.
" Fatmir Mediu is asking the Department of Justice to help him against the GJKKO accusations about Gërdec. His impudence goes so far as to lie to the American authorities that George Soros is behind him and his group. I explained to my friends that Soros has no idea who Mediu is and probably neither does Berisha, this is a massive and shameful lie ," writes Kokalari.
She says she received signals from within the DOJ about Mediu's visit, considering it a desperate attempt to escape Albanian justice. " The first question that should be asked of Mediu in America is: how many votes has he received since he is in Parliament? Mediu knows very well that he has received zero votes and it doesn't matter who he knows or who he lies to, the doors here will not be opened simply because he knows a senator ," Kokalari emphasizes.
But her arrows did not spare Sali Berisha either. " Berisha himself would have had a much better chance of removing you from non-grata status if he had not killed meritocracy in the DP. Today he continues to hold it hostage and still will not have it for long. I will continue the fight against the $6 million lobbying that these people have paid ," writes Kokalari, accusing the former prime minister of having destroyed conservatism in Albania.
In the end, Kokalari calls Mediu "a political nobody" without parliament and calls for his resignation: " If he wants me to stop him, then he must resign urgently, because he is not there by the will of the people, but he has also taken hostage that chair in the institution ."
" I should add that I could stay out of the way of what Fatmir Mediu or Sali Berisha are doing in the US to save their skin and themselves from justice, but the problem is that both Berisha and Mediu, along with their loyalists, are holding the right and the opposition hostage.
"The first question that should be asked of Mediu in America, when he asks for protection, is how many votes he received in the last campaign to be part of the Albanian Parliament ," she said.
