MP Enkelejd Alibeaj, who has left the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, after the decision of the Court of Appeal that passed the seal to Sali Berisha, said that the decision to leave came for consistency of position.
In an interview for the show "Open" on "News 24", Alibeaj said that after the decision of June 11, the Democratic Party is in the private hands of Sali Berisha. He added that the relationship he had with the judiciary and with the partners of the Democratic Party of Albania separated him from Sali Berisha and Berishism.
The MP considered the decision of the Court of Appeal to be unfair. He also said that Berishism is what now leads the DP.
" I left for coherence, I didn't fight the battle by running after the seal or sigla. I broke up with Sali Berisha 12 or 13 years ago. Coherence and integrity are needed in politics, and after June 11, when the Appeal announced the final decision, this issue of the seal or logo was finally closed. I have taken positions based on certain values, I have never been a hostage to idolatry" , said Alibeaj.
