The Albanian Parliament officially began work for the new year 2026 today, amid gridlock and chaos.

The MPs, led by Sali Berisha, blocked the Parliament's rostrum, while the Democratic MP Artan Luku and the leader of the Republicans, Fatmir Mediu, did not join this action.

Also, other opposition members Agron Shehaj, Erald Kapri, Ana Dajko and Redi Muçi did not leave their seats.
