Bardhyl Reso warns: After Berisha, it's the turn of Meta and Edi Rama,

Bardhyl Reso, who was among the first 13 members of the Initiative Commission of the Democratic Party and deputy of the first post-communist pluralist Democratic Assembly, commented on the political situation in the country. In an interview for "Dritare", he expressed his disappointment with the Special Prosecutor's Office as he says that the actions taken by SPAK seem very slow. Bardhyl Reso also warns that as the end came to Berisha, it will also come to Ilir Meta, or Edi Rama.

- Mr. Reso, here in Albania we only deal with politics, maybe because we don't have the courage to deal with other problems that life has, what do you think?

I wanted to start political analysis this year, taking into account the relationship with the truths. If we tell lies the way mistakes are, we will have smaller ones. Many people want to take it upon themselves to become the heroes of the history of democracy in Albania. In the 1990s, an article appeared for the first time: "In search of lost time". Because that article was written to order and I want to prove what I have said that the leadership of changes towards the democratization of political life has been led and its leader is Ramiz Alia.

- The new American ambassador who would come to Albania has not been approved by the American Senate, what do you think could be the reasons?

It is too soon for us to make a judgment or opinion about the fact that he is a senior diplomat. He knows Albania well because he has served in various positions. The real reasons why it has not been approved can be many. Some may think that Sali Berisha has influenced the American Senate, with those supportive people he thinks he has in the United States of America. But in fact there is none. Surely this is how his followers will comment. There may be other reasons. Maybe in America the McGonigal process took place and he was convicted. Kostelancik was in Albania, but maybe at the same time as McGonigal. I doubt that they may have some connection, or lack of information on his part that surely when he was in Albania he must have covered the problems of the American secret services. This is my opinion based on the positions he had during the time he worked at the American Embassy in Albania.

-Does former Prime Minister Sali Berisha constitute a political factor today, what do you think?

Sali Berisha is a political corpse that has no value to discuss, even his followers are people without any political integrity. It does not constitute any political factor in Albania. It is the media that have served Berisha and have obligations to him, the ones that give him a voice. The biggest mistake is when they identify the Democratic Party with Sali Berisha, I'm sorry that journalists with a lot of experience do it. In Albanian politics, it is an extreme falsity of politicians. To see what Bardhi says these days is funny. The future of Albanian politics is at a crossroads that I don't know who can give an accurate prediction. Rama promotes this political situation in Albania. Even the situation that happens in the parliament seems to be accepted by the socialists because in this way they denigrate the opposition. The speaker of the parliament could make a rule, but they care. I say that there is no chance for a man who has no connection with any of the internationals and has no support even from his party, most of them go after him for form.

- Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha accused the head of SPAK a few days ago, where he said that he had information that the head of the Municipality of Has would be eliminated, while the latter stated that this is not true, how do these accusations that he did in his direction?

His fantasies have no end. He has all lies about what he says. What did he realize from what he said? He is the mastermind behind destroying the country to death. He is a man who will sacrifice everything for the interests of power and his family. There are only 100 servants that he kept in various ways when he was in power, there is no successor to him. Who will follow Noka or Boçi? Even then, Argita remains.

- How do you see the fate of the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, and that of Prime Minister Edi Rama, after former Prime Minister Sali Berisha finally leaves politics?

All will have an end. Sali Berisha came to an end. New people and new mindsets are needed. The oligarchs will get stronger and the politicians will get richer if this continues. In terms of justice, something is being done. Justice is one power and it is important, but we have to keep in mind that Albanian politicians, if they don't get rich, are still very powerful and they also buy justice. Even the actions taken by SPAK seem very slow to me. When SPAK prepares the arrest warrant, it means that he has the file closed, why should the trial be delayed then. So far we have no results despite the files that have been prepared. Yes, only a large commission was needed to verify their assets, which are corrupt. Then they took the wealth of the people who earned it with sweat and they stole it.

- How do you see the Democratic Party in 2024?

Today's political development in Albania, the biggest handicap is that we have no opposition. Edi Rama sleeps comfortably, Saliu is sleepless and laments the plight of those who sleep. It is necessary to change the mentality from the form of organization of the Democratic Party and remove the idea of the leader. I have faith in young people who see that Albania is becoming a state on this path it has entered. If young people are not activated, if their mindsets are not changed, it seems difficult to create a party that can be rotated.

- For Kosovo, this year started with very good news, such as the liberalization of visas, do you think that after visas were liberalized, there could be a mass emigration of citizens to leave their country, now that they can move freely in Europe?

Even there there will be a flow of movement. But they have had immigration much older than Albania, but despite this they have a strong connection with their country. Albanians in Kosovo have not lost their property. Now both Germany and England are understanding the role of Kosovo in the Western Balkans. It seems to me that the Europeans are closer to the conviction that Kosovo wants stability and it is not Kosovo that can disrupt stability in the Balkans, but Serbia. But our aim should be that we should be able to become one nation, in one state. This would increase the role of Albanians in the Western Balkans.
